Climate Change and Resilience Studies
Climate resilience: strategic solutions to address climate change
Climate change is attributed directly or indirectly to human activities that alter the composition of the global atmosphere, in addition to natural climate variability observed over comparable periods. The current change in temperature is happening over a very short period of time, and it is linked to the rising concentration of greenhouse gases (GHG) such as carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), water vapor (H2O), ozone (O3) and nitrous oxide (N2O). Shifts in weather patterns and extreme temperatures are increasingly common and will intensify as greenhouse gas concentrations rise. Climate change puts health, food security and energy security at risk.
We carry out climate resilience analyses that begin by identifying every factor that contributes to a system's ability to withstand the risks and impacts of climate change. We map the combination of absorptive, adaptive and transformative capacities of a socio-ecological system so it can cope with the climate disturbances and stresses the project may be exposed to, and we put forward climate-resilient development proposals for projects that comply with national and international regulations.
Through a multidisciplinary approach, we examine the dynamics of climate change and develop tailored strategies that strengthen adaptation and mitigation capacity. From implementing sustainable technologies to creating resilient policies, our goal is to turn challenges into opportunities and secure a sustainable future for generations to come.
Join us on this path toward resilience, where every study and every action contributes to a safer, more sustainable world.
