Analysis of soil properties in the area of interest for investment projects
Soil mechanics developed in the early twentieth century out of necessity, in response to the many failures that were occurring frequently. The discipline gained recognition through the work of engineer Karl Terzaghi, who, in addition to publishing a book, organized the first international conference on soil mechanics, which established the field internationally.
