Specialized Marine Studies
Marine Environment
Oceanography is the science that studies all the physical, chemical and biological processes that take place in seas and oceans. It is a multidisciplinary science devoted to the study of the oceans, the phenomena that occur in them and their interaction with the continents and the atmosphere. There are four branches of oceanography: physical, chemical, biological and geological. Through oceanographic studies we determine or shape the type of infrastructure required to avoid risks in offshore and coastal infrastructure projects, providing greater safety for the infrastructure the project needs. We identify elevation levels and tidal patterns in the body of water where the project may be developed, characterizing morphological conditions and flooding patterns in order to identify the most dynamic zones and, as a result, define the changes in the marine profile and the adjacent areas that could be affected by construction of the project.
